The Drunken Pig

Wessex Saddleback, sow, toenails
No, not a great name for a pub, but Bella the sow.
Oliver gave her half a cask of cheap white wine to sedate her so he could cut her toenails. Then he forgot to go back and actually do the job, so Bella spent the day sleeping it off underneath a native cherry tree.

We went over to say hello and check she was okay. She tried to get up but gave up after a bit of huffing and puffing. We made sure her water supply was working, as it was a hot day, and left her to it.

It's important to trim Bella's toenails back every so often. If they grow too long, her ankles are forced backwards into an uncomfortable position, making it hard for her to walk, especially when she's pregnant. So we give her the occasional pedicure. Good job she likes cask wine.
