Our burgers are made to a similar recipe to our sausages - the pork is the hero. They're almost entirely succulent free range pork from our own rare breed Berkshire pigs, along with some herbs and spices, salt and pepper, water and breadcrumbs, and that's it. We don't use nitrates or any other preservatives or additives in any of our products. The burgers have become a favourite on the farm with our own family and friends, as a quick and satisfying weekday dinner. Although it's not such a quick and easy dinner if you decided to make oven-cooked chips to go with them.
At the Tasmanian Craft Fair this year, Nicole Huisman from Winter Brook Vineyard had one for lunch. She loved the smokiness, and thought her Pinot Gris would go really well with it. We couldn't agree more!
